JiffyDOS

jiffydos

I have JiffyDOS v5 installed in my Commodore 64C and a Turbo 1541 3rd party drive. I also have a 1571, but haven't tested that much.

Does anyone know much about the jiffy dos? I would like to learn more about this, oh and more about getting my C64 on my lan. I see commodoreserver has a Modem, but can I use any software with this such as a web server or BBS?

I've never used JiffyDOS, but I did find some instructions for it <a href="http://www.commodorefree.com/magazine/information/Commodore 64 Reference Guide.pdf">Here</a> (PDF). Hopefully this helps you, in some way.<p>
I believe the Comet64 can work with software written for the Internet, like Contiki, but not without some configuration on your part. I haven't ventured down this road yet - as I'm still enjoying my Comet64 just accessing my disk images off of my CommodoreServer account.

If you haven't found this yet, try http://store.go4retro.com/ This is the site that's selling the current legit version of JiffyDOS
